Micro study on using Among Us! for practice

Methods

Intervention

  • Among Us!
  • Groups of 10-students (max possible)

Pedagogical sequence:

  • Pre-task activities (mostly asynchronous), ~20 min.
  • 2 x 40-min. sessions of Among Us!, with (synchronous) oral interaction on Discord

Participants

  • $N = 22$ undergrad students
  • Pre-service English teachers: already highly motivated, advanced English proficiency (~B2)
  • Age: $M = 22.5$ y.o. [21..31]
  • Gender: 6 M, 16 F
